Meet the Amicus Team
Lise Demay, President

Lise Demay - from France - is a second year English Law and French Law student at King's College London and is a Student Rep at Amicus, as well as the President of the Amicus Project.

Before studying Law, she studied sociology and American History in France. Last year, she was nominated for a sponsored Training programme with Amicus.

Next year, she would love to organise a debate competition and collabore with other societies or Amicus groups!

Fidan Hajiyeva,VP

Fidan studies Law at King's College London and is the Vice President of the Amicus Project run by the Pro Bono society in Collaboration with Amicus ALJ.

As someone who has moved around a lot, she was drawn to Amicus because of the international repercussions that come hand in hand with the death penalty in the U.S.

Nima Mukherjee,
Student Representative

Nima Mukherjee - born in India and raised in Singapore - is a final year History student at King's and will be a Student Rep at Amicus for the upcoming year.

Having been selected to attend the sponsored Training Programme with Amicus last year was an eyeopening experience for Nima - she was honoured to meet with individuals such as Sunny Jacobs and Peter Pringle.

In the coming year, Nima is looking forward to making Amicus and its incredibly important cause accessible to as many individuals as possible!

Santos Hau,
Student Representative

Santos Hau - from Hong Kong - is studying for an LLM at King's and will be a Student Representative at Amicus 2020/21

He first came into contact with Amicus while he was a BAME Advocate at the University of Law, where he worked with an individual from Amicus on a miscarriage of justice presentation day for the general public.

As an avid runner who sadly had their marathon cancelled this year, he is excited by talks about a potential run around London in chicken suits to raise funds for the lifesaving work Amicus does!
